1 Blackbird Distillery

Blackbird Distillery creates a variety of old-fashioned moonshine. With more than 10 varieties ranging from peach and pineapple to root beer and traditional American shine, there’s a taste for everyone to enjoy. Visitors can explore the distillery to sample various moonshines, as well as smoked meats made with their homemade pepper mixes and seasonings.


CJ Spirits is located along scenic Route 6, at the southern tip of the Allegheny Reservoir, and is northwestern Pennsylvania’s first craft distillery. Spirits are hand crafted using fresh local ingredients, pure “Allegheny Mountain” spring water, and state-of-the-art distillery equipment. Owners Sam Cummings and Tom Jones use time honored methods to craft the finest of spirits — Whiskey, Gin, Rum, or Rocksov, a small batch vodka made from rye grain. In the tasting area, sample the selection of spirits while enjoying homemade appetizers, soups, salads and sandwiches. Take a tour. Check out the 300 gallon Artisan Hybrid still and learn the process of making spirits. Shop the retail area for home bar accessories, mixers, hats, apparel and a wide variety of gift items.


Dutch Country

Hidden Sill Spirits continues the long history of distilling spirits which can be dated back to 1753. The name is derived from how the process of distilling spirits had been conducted many times throughout history. The facility, not far from West Chocolate Avenue, is in an old plant previously used to service The Hershey Co. It produces handcrafted small patches of bourbon, whiskey, vodka, gin and rum.

Midstate is Harrisburg’s first distillery since Prohibition. We are family-owned distillery that uses local Pennsylvania ingredients & partners with local businesses whenever possible. All of our craft spirits are produced onsite. Visit our tasting room for spirit infusions, cocktails, martinis, select Pennsylvania draft beers, wine and bottle sales. 3 Thistle Finch Distillery

Located a short walk from downtown Lancaster, Thistle Finch Distillery is located in the former Walter Schnader Tobacco Warehouse that was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. Visitors can have a unique experience by tasting a variety of house made infusions or by taking a free tour of the distillery to learn how Thistle Finch makes their award-winning rye whiskey.

1 Conneaut Cellars Distillery

Conneaut Cellars Distillery is the first distillery in Northwestern Pennsylvania since Prohibition. Distilling small batches of high quality rum, brandy, vodka from grapes and 4-grain bourbon, the Lake Erie Region distillery plans to release a pure rye whiskey that has been aging in oak barrels in the future. Conneaut Cellars’ craft micro-distillery avoids the common practice of buying pre-made spirits. Every batch they produce is small, crafted by hand in their distillery and bottled by hand.

The West Overton Distillery Museum features life-size dioramas that highlight the industries of West Overton Village between 1800 and 1919. Showcased are coverlet weaving, coal and coke production and whiskey distillation. The museums are closed for regular tours during October thru April.

1 County Seat Spirits

County Seat Spirits is a producer of fine spirits including their Sand Island Rum and Hidden Copper Bourbon. Based in Allentown, County Seat prides itself on being a true “grain to glass” distillery — one which performs the entire process from milling raw grains on site, mashing, fermenting, distilling and aging. County Seat’s tasting room is open Fridays starting at 4pm and weekends starting at noon.


2 Eight Oaks Craft Distillers

Eight Oaks Craft Distillers is a veteran-owned, family-run, farm distillery located in the rolling country hills of Lehigh Valley. Eight Oaks grows all their grain on their own farm like wheat, corn, rye and barley and craft that grain into Vodka, Gin, Rye Whiskey and Bourbon. Eight Oaks also makes an Applejack from fresh local apples sourced from Scholl Orchards. Come try Eight Oaks products in their inviting and comfortable tasting room in New Tripoli. You can see the inner workings of the distillery in a behind the barrels tour, try a flight of our spirits, or choose a drink from our seasonal cocktail menu. Stop in for a visit Thursday-Sunday.


Located in a former bank building in Bethlehem, Social Still is a distillery, bar and restaurant. With a full line of spirits (bourbon, gin, vodka, rye, rum) and full-service restaurant and bar, this Lehigh Valley distillery is already making inroads into Philadelphia bars and restaurants.

Boardroom Spirits opened in February 2016 in Lansdale, PA and was built on a foundation on European distilling traditions coupled with American ingenuity. Head upstream on the Brandywine River as far as you can go—past crumbling mills, Revolutionary War battlefields, and long-forgotten Lenape fisheries—all the way to its headwaters. Not far from the river bank you’ll find an old barn, our first experiment in bringing new life to the old ways. Having revived the barn, we moved in two hand-hammered copper pot stills, four Douglas Fir fermentation tanks, and a couple of master distillers. Brandywine Branch Distillers was born and ever since, we’ve been dedicating our days to making innovative new spirits according to the time-honored traditions of old-fashioned craft distilling.

8 New Liberty Distillery

New Liberty Distillery is located in a vibrant north Philadelphia neighborhood, just minutes from Center City, in a building that once served as a stable. In addition to the working distillery, their site also features a beautiful bar and tasting room where you can sample New Liberty’s full slate of craft whiskeys, such as rye, malt and bourbon, and enjoy craft cocktails in their rustic courtyard.

Focused on tradition and simplicity, this distillery may be new but roots itself in the past. Based out of Manayunk, Walter Palmer, founder and head distiller, produces the very patriotically named, citrus-y Liberty Gin, and Manayunk Moonshine, which sounds like the best worst idea in a while.Tours are offered every Saturday from noon to 5 PM, no reservation needed. During that time the tasting room is also open. And anytime you see a sign outside that says “free gin tasting,” head on in.

After celebrating their first decade by moving into a new showcase distillery, Philadelphia Distilling continues their batch-by-batch process, turning out spirits that celebrate big, bold American flavor.


12 Red Brick Craft Distillery

Born from a Kickstarter campaign, Red Brick first got its feet on the ground in 2016. Now they produce multiple spirits and work very closely with their neighbor Martha (a bar with more than 50 local spirits). Grab a bottle of their single malt Red Brick Whiskey, Barrel Strength Red Brick Whiskey, or their Simple Shine, a sugar wash rum. The tasting room is open weekends between 1 and 6pm.

1 Allegheny Distilling

Allegheny Distilling is an urban distillery located in Pittsburgh’s historic Strip District and the maker of Maggie’s Farm, the first commercially-available Pennsylvania-made rum since Prohibition. Founded independently, Maggie’s Farm is more about what it isn’t, a corporate entity where marketing gimmicks and bottom lines trump taste and quality. All of their rums and rum liqueurs are made using all-natural ingredients and fermented on-site from American-grown raw cane rather than processed molasses. After long, high-ester fermentations, Allegheny then pot distill all of their rums for maximum body and flavor retention using 100% copper-made stills imported from Spain sitting right behind the distillery’s cocktail bar in Pittsburgh’s historic Strip District.


2 Disobedient Spirits

After distilling became legal in PA in 2012, two retired professors decided they would start making spirits as a hobby. The hobby quickly grew from producing vodka and a few brandies to now offering a bourbon, rye and two gins. Their locally-sourced spirits have won several awards including the Gold Award for their Premium Blue Corn Vodka at the American Craft Spirits Association Awards. Spirit aficionados can take tours of the distillery on Saturdays, as well as sip on some perfectly crafted libations while shooting pool.


Kingfly Spirits is a Pittsburgh-based distillery dedicated to producing small batch spirits that meet only the highest standards. 4 Liberty Pole Spirits

Liberty Pole Spirits is a family-owned, small batch distillery committed to producing premium craft whiskeys from locally sourced heritage grains in an American-made pot still. Located in the heart of the 1794 Whiskey Rebellion territory, the distillery is a warmly restored, turn-of-the-century building that offers a cozy spot or two in which to sip their spirits or seasonal cocktails. Tours are offered on Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons. The tour includes a cocktail to enjoy while listening to stories about the Whiskey Rebellion and walking around the production floor and barrel storage. The tour finishes in the colonial style dining room, where guests sample a flight of whiskeys in front of the fireplace.


5 Pennsylvania Pure Distilleries

Pennsylvania Pure Distilleries, makers of award winning Boyd & Blair Potato Vodka, is an independently run American distillery founded on the idea of creating exceptional spirits using locally grown ingredients and packaging. They believe in quality over quantity and that’s why they make every single batch by hand, literally. Boyd & Blair is made batch by batch from original mash using only locally grown Pennsylvania potatoes. Each batch is produced without automation in a 1200 liter copper pot still using only the “hearts” of the run. Every bottle is filled by hand, corked and dipped in wax. And each and every bottle is batch numbered and signed by hand. This is a classic vodka meant to be savored one sip at a time.


Ryan and Sarah Kanto, Bryan Martindale, and the entire crew at Quantum have been hard at work, repurposing the former Steinmetz Bakery in the heart of Carnegie on East Main Street into a distillery and tasting room complete with innovative cocktails and bottles to purchase for at-home consumption. Quantum Spirits Rye Vodka is sublime on its own and plays well with fruit forward drinks, spicy mixers and sweet liquors. Due to the high purity of our product, it is only chill filtered and frequently surprises tasters with how smooth a vodka can be when served neat.


7 Wigle Whiskey Distillery

Wigle Whiskey, Pittsburgh’s first distillery since Prohibition, is headquartered in the city’s Strip District neighborhood. Wigle is open to the public for tours, tastings and cocktails seven days a week. Wigle is hell bent on creating a vital, educated community around the highest quality, most inventive, bursting-with-terroir distilled products in the world. Since beginning distilling in December 2011, Wigle Whiskey has worked to restore Pittsburgh’s legacy as the Birthplace of American Whiskey and the epicenter of Rye. Wigle has been the most awarded Craft Whiskey Distillery in the US by the American Craft Spirits Association for four straight years and is a 2018 James Beard Award Semi-Finalist. Wigle makes each of its regionally inspired whiskeys, gins, rum, honey spirits, and bitters from scratch with organic ingredients whenever possible. Wigle never, ever purchases spirits from bulk suppliers.

At Barley Creek, they’ve been having a blast brewing craft beers for more than 20 years, and they bring that same passion for innovation, flavor and excellence to distilled spirits. Starting with pristine water from their own 700-foot artesian well, they then add only the best ingredients. Barley Creek Whiskey uses three different types of smoked malt for an extremely smooth finish. Their whiskey is then matured in small, custom barrels to maximize contact with the wood surface and enhance flavor. Barley Creek Spiced Rum is made with Blackstrap molasses and pure organic, GMO-free cane sugar. They age their rum in small barrels with orange zest and a secret blend of natural spices. It’s delicious and pirate approved!
