Survey from the Pennsylvania Distilled Spirits Industry Promotion Program
The Pennsylvania Distillers Guild has advocated for the creation of a promotion board for Pennsylvania distillers for years. With the passing of Act 57 of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code in 2024, the Pennsylvania Distilled Spirits Industry Promotion Board (PADSIPP) with an annual grant budget of $1 Million was formed.
The Board is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and is now asking for the Guild’s help in reaching all Pennsylvania distillers.
The message is two-fold. To inform the industry that the board exists and to gather feedback from producers on what to prioritize when it comes to funding.

Dear Pennsylvania Distilled Spirits Guild members,
Salutations from the Pennsylvania Distilled Spirit Industry Promotion Program Board!
We have some exciting news to share with you – the newly established Pennsylvania Distilled Spirits Industry Promotion Program (PDSIPP) has entered its first funding cycle! We will be sharing an update on which projects you can expect to see and benefit from some time very soon.
What is PDSIPP?
PDSIPP was established by Act 57 of the Pennsylvania Liquor control board and is managed by a collection of stakeholders from the industry. These stakeholders were appointed in conjunction by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Agriculture and members of the State’s legislature to help support the industry through marketing and research projects.
- The Board received several exciting applications for funding this year.
- However, we want to ensure that we are doing our best to meet the needs of the industry.
- Therefore, we are currently seeking feedback from distilled spirit stake-holders (such as yourself) to help inform our decision-making process for funding cycles moving forward.
How can you help:
Below is a link to a survey that we designed to help capture this feedback.
- Please note that the feedback from this survey will be used for the expressed purposes of helping guide the decision-making process of the Board.
- All responses and the information therein will be kept confidential.
- We kindly request that you please take a few minutes to fill out this survey:
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about this survey or generally about the Board, please do not hesitate to reach out to Commodities Program Manager, Michael Keefe at mikeefe@pa.gov or by phone at 717-307-3243.
Thank you!
The Pennsylvania Distilled Spirits Industry Promotion Board.
