Crooked Creek Distillery takes its’ name from a large stream running through Armstrong County, PA. This general area was the childhood home to the the proprietor who is also an army veteran and the distiller. The distillery location is housed in a building built around the turn of the 20th century in West Newton, PA.

7 Lawrenceville Distilling

The Lawrenceville Distilling Co. an independently-owned and a family-run small business that distills small batches of spirits by hand at our distillery in Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville neighborhood. Distillery exclusives include Parking Chair Vodka, 1129 Ridge Ave Absinthe Traditionelle and Ginzer American Gin. Visit the distillery’s tasting room where cocktails and samples are available.


8 Liberty Pole Spirits

Liberty Pole Spirits is a family-owned, small batch distillery committed to producing premium craft whiskeys from locally sourced heritage grains in an American-made pot still. Located in the heart of the 1794 Whiskey Rebellion territory, the distillery is a warmly restored, turn-of-the-century building that offers a cozy spot or two in which to sip their spirits or seasonal cocktails. Tours are offered on Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons. The tour includes a cocktail to enjoy while listening to stories about the Whiskey Rebellion and walking around the production floor and barrel storage. The tour finishes in the colonial style dining room, where guests sample a flight of whiskeys in front of the fireplace.


9 Lynchwood Spirits

Lynchwood Spirits produces Straight Corn Liquor, Bourbon, Rum, Sour Mash, Scotch (coming soon) Flavored Whiskeys, and approximately 40 Flavored Moonshines. The company manufactures their own stills and utilizes retired milk bulk tanks as fermenters. Every aspect, including label design and printing, is conducted on-site, while a tasting room is operated in the front of the establishment, known as the shine shack.

Allegheny Pennsylvania’s first commercially available rum since Prohibition, Maggie’s Farm began distilling rum from turbinado sugar in 2013 in Pittsburgh’s historic Strip District on a 75-gallon pot still. Since then, Maggie’s Farm has become the most-awarded brand of rum in North America with over 100 medals and accolades, including Best-in-Show Spirit from the American Craft Spirits Association and Best Overall Rum from the world’s largest spirits competition, the San Francisco World Spirits Compeitition.

2 Disobedient Spirits

After distilling became legal in PA in 2012, two retired professors decided they would start making spirits as a hobby. The hobby quickly grew from producing vodka and a few brandies to now offering a bourbon, rye and two gins. Their locally-sourced spirits have won several awards including the Gold Award for their Premium Blue Corn Vodka at the American Craft Spirits Association Awards. Spirit aficionados can take tours of the distillery on Saturdays, as well as sip on some perfectly crafted libations while shooting pool.


Kingfly Spirits is a Pittsburgh-based distillery dedicated to producing small batch spirits that meet only the highest standards. They source the best available natural ingredients from all across the globe including lemons from Sorrento, Italy; sugar cane from Colombia; spices from Vietnam, grapes from the Napa Valley, and more.
