PA Distillers Debut Spring Cocktail Menus

Spring has sprung across the Commonwealth and Pennsylvania distillers are revamping their tasting room cocktail menus with the exciting flavors of the season. Check out your local distillery tasting room for the flavors of Spring or plan a trip to one or more of these destinations.

DUTCH COUNTRY

Midstate Distillery

Fun cocktails are the norm at Midstate’s tasting rooms in Hershey and Mechanicsburg. And the Trop-Hop has the bunny ears to prove its frivolity. The drink features Midstate’s Mango Rum, pineapple pureé, cream, shredded coconut, marshmallow and of course, bunny ears!

LEHIGH VALLEY

Eight Oaks Farm Distillery

To no one’s surprise, Eight Oaks Farm Distillery keeps it seasonal. The New Tripoli, PA distillery has the advantage of its own greenhouse. Check out what’s on their latest menu.

PHILADELPHIA

Five Saints Distilling

Forego tequila for Five Saints White Whiskey in the Norristown distillery’s Smoky Blood Orange Margarita.  A little heat makes a lot of sense for a distillery based in a historic firehouse. Tabasco and Blood Orange Liqueur finish out this fiery cocktail. Check out the full recipe here.

Manatawny Still Works

It’s always a big deal when the bartending team at Manatawny gets together to create a new seasonal menu. A glance at the menu shows that the bartenders were feeling Chamomile, hibiscus and even carrots. Available at tasting rooms in Philadelphia (East Passyunk, Fishtown), Ardmore and Pottstown.

Philadelphia Distilling

Coconut, pineapple and lime?  The Fishtown Sour sounds sublime. It’s made with Bluecoat American Dry Gin, tiki spices, coconut, pineapple and lime.

PITTSBURGH

Liberty Pole Spirits

The folk at Liberty Pole Spirits don’t just change their menus seasonally, they change it each time the calendar turns.  And right now they are featuring the Cardinal Returns, a Liberty Pole Bourbon based cocktail made with tart cherries, house-made grenadine, burnt sugar and cherry bitters.

Lucky Sign Spirits

Lucky Sign Spirits is celebrating the blooming of spring flowers with their Jasmine in Bloom Cocktail. And Lucky Sign offers their cocktails to go, a unique feature of visiting Pennsylvania distilleries. Each cocktails contains two cocktails. Just pour them into your favorite glass.

Maggie’s Farm Rum

Maggie’s Farm now has two tasting rooms to visit. Regardless if you visit the O.G. Strip location or the still shiny and new Upper St. Clair location, try a Rose Tattoo. Made with Maggie’s 50/50 Dark Rum infused with rose hips, Maggie’s Farm Falernum, fresh-squeezed lime, and oran ge bitters.

Wigle Whiskey

When you make a rhubarb liqueur you are always eagerly awaiting the first buds of spring. The Rhubarb Creme is a clarified milk punch made with Wigle Rhubarb Liqueur, Wigle Smallman Street Vodka, strawberry and lemon.
