From Liberty Pole Spirits

Next Friday (October 24th) we’re excited to release a truly special whiskey — a Single Malt crafted in collaboration with @rustygoldbrewery

Back in 2020, Justin brewed a rich, un-hopped version of their Pike Street Amber Ale. We then pot distilled this into a true American Single Malt, which has been aging for the last 5 years —partially in a new 53-gallon barrel and the rest in a used 25-gallon barrel.

The combination of new and used barrels adds wonderful complexity, balancing classic sweet oak and fruity esters with a deep, malty backbone. Our notes are strawberry preserves, Earl Grey, & biscuits. We really like it.

We had an amazing time partnering with our friends at Rusty Gold and turning their delicious beer into an equally delicious whiskey. We can’t wait for you to try it!
